insurance hasnt paid

More details to this question:
Minor son was passenger in auto accident. took him to emergency room 2 days later to be checked out. submitted bills to the auto insurance company. They havent paid now it has been turned in to collections. How can I get them to pay the medical bills?

 There are a couple of things you might try. One is, obviously, retain an attorney. However, if your son is OK and you only had a few medical bills, that is probably not a good alternative. The other thing is to contact your state insurance commissioner and file a complaint. Then, you can file a claim in Small Claims Court in your local jurisdiction. I think you will find  they will pay then.

My guess is that you have not also sent the ER medical records to support the bill. You are pursuing a claim and you have the obligation to properly document the claim.  Without the records, the insurance company cannot confirm that the bill is related to the accident. Go to the hospital and get a copy of the records.  make a copy for yourself and send the records to the insurance company.  That may solve the issue.
