I had a foot injury this morning at work due to our truck driver jumping on a platform that was not grounded and my foot was under it. I notified my manager and regional and filled out an incident report. It has been 11 hours and my manager has contacted me but made not arrangements for me to be able to leave the store as I am the only manager working today. I have heard nothing from my HR team or my regional at all. I have had to sit all day icing my foot and not given the opportunity to have my foot looked at. I don't believe it is broken but I would like someone to look at it of course still as I can't put weight on it.
I am so sorry to hear about your injury! First, you should definitely seek treatment for your foot asap to find out the extent of your injury. If you wind up needing extensive medical treatment (i.e. your foot is broken), and you are written out of work, you should definitely contact a Board Certified Workers' Compensation Attorney to find out your options. It is a free consultation. Good luck!
