An engie falling on your hand at work is considered a work injury in Pennsylvania. While you cannot sue your employer, under the Workers' Compensation Act, you are entitled to payment for lost wages and medical bills related to the work injury. Your employer may believe that by firing you they have escaped having to pay for your work injury, but you have a right to file a workers' compensation claim and pursue payment even if you were fired. You should speak to a lawyer that handles workers' compensation claims.
