Is there a time element for them to make up their mind for a settlement?

More details to this question:
I have a personal injury suit. They offered to mediation settlement for under a certain amount. My attorney called and told them we would mediate with them for between a certain amounts of money. Now the defendant said they will let us know in a couple weeks if it's feasible.

Sadly, no. It's to the advantage of the ins. co. to hang on as long as possible, so they can keep your money invested. That?s why sometimes we file suit; it?s the only way to move some cases along.

No. Your attorney should call and find out how it is going in order to push them.
