Is this accident my fault?

I was in a car accident. A truck pulled out in front of oncoming traffic. We all had to make a sudden stop. The car in front of me and myself both had to dodge the truck in front of us causing me to hit the back of her car. We did not hit the truck but I hit her. I ended up going to the ER due to the accident and never had a chance to speak to the police. But I was informed that the other driver told police it was the truck driver fault, but I was ticketed. Can I take this to court?
