A prominent doctor in Raleigh left a piece of latex 12 inches long 4 inches wide ,diminishing the best years of my quality life.I had a tubal reversal at duke medical in durham nc in 97.After years of suffering no baby of course. My doctor said I needed hysterectomy,behind my uterus wall is where the latex had been 16 years.I'm not the only victim I know one and I'm sure of others if they haven't deceased. I need to confront this doctor

I believe your statue limitations has run. "A cause of action for malpractice arising out of the performance of or failure to perform professional services shall be deemed to accrue at the time of the occurrence of the last act of the defendant giving rise to the cause of action." For objects left in the body, the statute runs one year from the discovery of the object,, however not longer than 10 years after the surgery. Your statue limitations would have run prior to 2007.
