Florida bar ethics rules prohibit an attorney from soliciting a potential injured victim, unless the injured victim initiated the contact. An attorney can even lose his license for this. Very unethical behavior

You should avoid at all costs any lawyer, or their "runner" who calls, or shows up at your home uninvited. They will get their foot in the door by pretending to care about you and educate you on the benefits you could be entitled to. These people often pay tow truck drivers, body shops, emergency room personnel, etc, for information on people who were in accidents. I do not know if you were injured in the accident; but even if you were not, some of these lawyers and runners will offer people money to treat at clinics they have arrangements with, or make promises of money later on, if you will claim injuries and go to their clinics. If you were injured, it is likely the doctors and clinics they work with are more interested in getting your insurance money, then your health.
Please understand, most lawyers are honest, hard working and truly care about their clients. If you were injured, there are many excellent and experienced personal injury lawyers in Florida. They will not, and do not need to solicit your case. Hiring a lawyer is an important decision and should not be based on a slick mass-market TV commercial and certainly not because a person is hustling cases. I don't know the circumstances which brought this lawyer to your home. I am just reacting to what you wrote.
If you have questions about your accident, including any injuries and damages you suffered, a quality personal injury lawyers will not charge to speak with you, or ask you to sign retainer papers up front. I strongly suggest you ask friends and family members for lawyers they were happy with, or research who the experienced personal injury lawyers are in your area.
Wishing you the best,
