QUESTION

Liability of gifting alcohol

Asked on Jun 10th, 2014 on Automobile Accidents - Washington
More details to this question:
As the owner of an Auto Dealership, I am wondering what (if any) liability might be attached to myself or my business in gifting a box to customers with wine, coffee & chocolate -- specifically the wine. Should something happen on their drive home from the dealership involving them drinking the wine, is there any chance I or my business could be held liable?

It is highly unlikely you would have any liability for gifting the wine unless it was to a minor.
