minor car accident

More details to this question:
I was a passenger in a car that was rear ended,I suffered a herniated disc , lost about a $1,000 in lost wages, also completely lost my job. I hired a lawyer which he of course gets 33%. my medical bills came to $7,000.After the medical bills are paid and my lawyer gets his cut.How much should expect to walk away with? ( the accident happened in Washington, D.C.)

It depends on the amount of the offer, the amount of outstanding medical bills and whether or not your fee agreement requires you to be responsible for expenses incurred by your attorney.  Good luck with this matter.
