in march of 2017 I was at work my boyfriend then used my car without my permission an got into a car accident an he left the scene of the accident his cuzzin was in the car with him at the time an was trying too lie about being the driver at the time the man he hit was telling the officer at the scene that his cuzzin was,nt the driver an he was descrbing my boyfriend after the officer spoke too the cuzzin he confessed that the driver was my boyfriend Anthony Mitchell at that time fast forward on august5 of 2019 my driver License was suspened for a civil lein from that car accident they force a lien against me without serving me I took that back too court an October of 2019 an the judge set aside the judement a reistated my license couple of mothes went by they had me served at my home an is now trying too re sue me for this accident they set a knew court date nov 12 2020 I need help resolving this for good
This isnt a drivers license lawsuit. Its lawsuit for damages against you for the losses someone else suffered in the crash. Seems like no one on the other side is buying the "no permission" story and the other people who were damaged or thier insurance carrier are suing you to force you to prove it. Most likely the will be looking to get you to claim the vehicle was taken without permission, so they can leverage a grand theft auto case against your BF, since you will be essentially testifying under oath that he stole your car to avoid liability. If you had insurance on the car, you need to report the lawsuit being filed to them ASAP.
