I was staying at the golden nugget in Laughlin and the door does not have a door guard on it.. earlier I was told he would be able to open the door or the window which did not have a lock on it or any screen on the 4th floor and the manager had zero concern of the addressed safety concerns I had… after my 2 year old son slept most of the day because he was fighting a sickness he walked to the entry door of the room. I had just answered the phone to my mother and he was able to open the door and go outside the room right when I heard the door I heard him scream I ran to the door opened it and his tiny finger had been nearly amputated by the door.. if they had door guards he would not been able to so easily get out of the door that I was told by the manager he would not be able to open
You may have a good case. You should take plenty of pictures from different angles of the door, which would explain the dangerous condition that the hotel should've been on notice of, if it does that, and that would help prove liability.
