QUESTION

Rental Car Accident

Asked on Aug 01st, 2017 on Automobile Accidents - Florida
More details to this question:
I was involved in a car accident down in FL in a Fox-Rent-a-Car vehicle, I live in MA. Intersection impact with another vehicle. Things to know: 1. I did not sign up for any optional insurance from the rental agency 2. My personal insurance does not cover rental insurance or liability 3. The police officer did not issue a citation, but police report cites that I "inattentively ran red light" 4. My credit card benefits at the moment will be covering damages to the rental vehicle 5. Other party currently claiming total loss for their vehicle 6. No injuries claimed So I have no coverage for the other vehicle it seems, but what is also not established is the percentage at fault. Im trying hard to find an attorney that would take this case in order to guide and assist me, but all lawyers turn me down as they only work with "personal injury." What type of attorney would be able to work with a case like this and what specialty would he be considered in so I can better search for one.

The problem here is not "personal injury" lawyers - its that you are the at fault party. NO lawyer will take such a case unless you are paying an hourly rate/retainer to address the issues. This is not a contingent fee type case. ANY civil trial, perosnal injuury or insurance lawyer can handle such a case ifyou are able to spend pay the legal fees.
