More details to this question:
My husband rear-ended someone and his insurance is handling the lawsuit. His coverage is only $10k, and they sent a letter agreeing to settle for the $10k. But I am worried they will just come after him for the rest, because they listed over $100k in repairs and medical bills. Their settlement agreement includes an affidavit with questions about his assets, bank balances, salary, etc. They want to know my name, even though I was not there and am not on his policy. Why would they need my name? If they are agreeing to a settlement, why do they need this info? Are they just getting ready for round two?

You and your husband need to address this with the insurance carrier and defense lawyer handling the settlement.
