Hello, In the summer of '17 I was involved in a car accident. Where I was a single passenger riding in an Uber. My Uber driver was at fault he ran a red light, and we were struck by two on coming pick up trucks. The collision resulted in a fracture in my neck in which I recovered and was medically cleared at the start of 2018. My problem is my case manager has changed and I've had to resubmit the same documents and explain my injuries over agin nearly 4 months after I've been cleared and 10 months since the accident itself, I've asked my current case manger about sending a demand letter to get things rolling and her response was " we're still waiting for medical records from your doctors office once we receive them we have to submit them to the claims adjuster, then we'll send a demand letter" which seems strange to me.
You always have the option to fire your current attorney and retain other counsel. Be aware that if you do, your prior counsel may have a lien for work done and a cost lien for expenses advanced.
