should I report a fall at a work related funtion

More details to this question:
When working at a fashion show for my employer l fell when l was carrying bags of clothes out of the venue. I felt my heel slip out from under me, as if it came in contact with something slippery on the floor. I landedon my back. I have seen a doctor and was prescribed pain meds and musle relaxers. My concern is the possibility of future long term effects.

Under new York law, you may not sue your employer but you are entitled to make a workers compensation claim.  You might have a viable claim agasint the owner of the building where you slipped, but you would have to prove that they had prior notice of the slippery subtance before you feel (or that they created the dangerous condition).  Feel free to call me at 212-385-8000.
