QUESTION

Should I start looking for another attorney?

Asked on Jul 17th, 2014 on Automobile Accidents - Maryland
More details to this question:
I was injured in a vehicle accident June 2013. I received a torn rotator cup and had physical therapy then surgery November 2013 followed by 6 months recovery. The insurance company found me at fault even though the police report showed I was not. I have received one letter from my attorney in September 2013 saying he was going to sue. I initiated several calls to him and he is still saying he plans to sue and it will take a long time but I would probably not get more than $5,000 dollars. How would he know that. Its been over a year. I called the insurance company and they said the subrogation was filled June 2013 and arbitration took place Oct 2013 and they settled and paid damages to the other party. My attorney claims he didn't know anything about this. He have collected money from the insurance company for medical expenses but faiil to disclose this information to me. I was not the owner of the vehicle I was driving.
