Should my daughter sign an affidavit

More details to this question:
Someone is accusing my daughter of hitting them in the school parking lot. We have no damage and my daughter says it didn’t happen. My insurance is asking her to sign an affidavit that she didn’t have an accident. We have full coverage. My insurance is also their insurance company. Should we sign?

Why would there be hesitation in swearing under oath what you jusyt claimed above to be true? If there is reluctance that starts to sounds like the "no proof = dindoo nuffin" defense which is NOT the same.
