Should my passenger sue me and the other driver?

More details to this question:
I have liability and got into a car accident where the other driver is not accepting fault. I am planning to go through the litigation process. It was suggested that my passenger should sue me and the other driver. If I happen to lose, will my passenger suing me cost me more? Will my insurance go up because of it?
