QUESTION

State of Florida

Asked on Sep 23rd, 2020 on Personal Injury - Florida
More details to this question:
Why does it seem the laws are so very different for the state of Florida, when it clearly states that at fault insurance company can’t release or won’t release settlement unit letter of obligation is signed by me, yet no one seems to care and says that is not true, also attorney settles my case without permission receiving a check in Feb 2020, but I don’t give permission until March 2020, no he did not cash them so he may of covered his butt there, but now is making me sign release form that I do not i understand or I don’t get my settlement, also is charging me 40% with no lawsuit plus hourly fees and other attorneys fees that he fired by lying about them but the state of Florida does not see him in the wrong that I would love at this point to for go the case because it would make me cringe to see such an unethical attorney with an abonishment against him already receive a dime. What he is doing to me, he will only do to another when do attorneys start being held accountable

You can contact the Florida Bar fee dispute program and see if that helps. Seems like the common thread here is you claiming everyone else is doing things without your agreement or permission or imposing expectations from abother state that simply dont apply here.
