QUESTION

Uhaul hits loading dock gate because clearance discrepancies...Do I have a case?

Asked on Jul 19th, 2018 on Automobile Accidents - Florida
More details to this question:
While moving into my new place, I damaged the loading gate which states on the signage a max clearance of 13'8 with my Uhaul that needs only 11'0. The gate does not go all the way up and it is impossible for me to see this from the driver's seat. The condo association charged my landlord $1400 for repairs. My landlord then charged me $1400 and says I need to bring any discrepancies about the gate up to the condo association. I have paid the landlord after being threaten i would acquire late fees and possible eviction if I didn't pay within 3 days. Do i have a case? would it be worth the time and legal fees? I have video footage and pictures of incident

You might have a case - though its not likely financially worth the legal expense.
