Was it right for the cops to search us for no reason and place my father in jail?

I was driving then I parked eating my food, I had passengers in my vehicle. A white 2000 model Chevrolet Tahoe tinted windows parked beside me, a marked cop car parked on side of a building in the next parking lot, (other unmarked cars was present after being searched) myself and 2 other passengers were released. The officer told me if I didn't let them search my Grandmother's vehicle my cousin was going to jail for a open container along with my father. I told him as long as they don't plant nothing in my grandmother's vehicle they could search it, he replied, "I could watch while they searched." During the search the chief made a false statement about founding a seed then joked about it, another officer admitted to us he smoked marijuana. As my father came out of the store he was grabbed by police officer's and handcuffed. My father was taken to jail, he is a diabetic and asked for an Ambulance they wouldn't let him go in the Ambulance but the Ambulance did arrive on the seen. My father was placed in jail and received a concussion, later was placed in the ER. My father was released the same night from hospital but had to watch him through the night so that I would know he would awake from the concussion. Myself and 3 passenger's were searched for no particular reason and my father placed in jail and receiving a concussion.
