More details to this question:
My son is 4 years old in pre school at an elementary school. He was washing his hands on a plastic step stool that is not secure. Somehow the step stool slipped out from under him he fell and smashed his face on the edge of the countertop. Busted his lip his gums and knocked his front tooth loose. I was just curious to see if I had a negligence lawsuit or not. He is still in pain and this happened Thursday.

yes. I believe you do have a case. If the school is a public one, shorter time periods apply to file notices/claims, so u must take immediate steps to protect your son's rights and retain a local personal injury lawyer

Possibly, but absent permanent damage of some sort, not likely worth much monetarily.
