I separated from the navy in August 2016 with honorable discharge/full benefits and all that good stuff. I was recently going through my naval medical records looking for something and I came across an entry that said "exposure to STD". This being news to me, I was shocked. I looked around and saw that there is an entry saying I have gonorrhea! I was never informed of this and I just don’t know what to do. I’m not even sure it’s true but I feel very cheated by the naval medical system, as I always have. But now there is proof that they have done me wrong. I realize that I may not have grounds to sue but is there anything that they owe me, like an explanation at least?
They should give you an explanation, but your probably could not force them. If you want to pursue it further, get your senator to send a letter, as they always pay attention to that.
