What are my options if an auto wash damaged my jeep?

As I was going through the automated car wash the other day and the attendant was spraying my jeep in the bay, he hit a ladder leaning against the wall and caused it to fall on my fender leaving a big dent on the top of it. He made an incident report (I have a copy of it) admitting fault and told me the owner would contact me within a couple of days. He also said "the owner has a body repair man and he will take care of me". I called my insurance and they said it would fall under my comprehensive coverage, a $100 deductible, however, I recently made a claim for my windshield. I went and got 3 estimates, the lowest was $500 in repairs, not including I would be without my only vehicle for 2-3 days. I want to ask this guy for $1000 for the repairs, and loss of wages for taking time out of work, getting a rental, etc.
