I am concerned that even though my car is only one year old I will not be able to prove the worth of my car post-accident vs. pre-accident.

I suggest that you have a property damage appraisal familiar with diminished value claims prepare a report as to whether or not your vehicle has suffered a diminished value. Our firm uses Reed Appraisers in Silver Spring, MD for our clients in MD, DC & VA. Good luck with this matter.
