QUESTION

What is faulty driver has limit issue?

Asked on Dec 06th, 2013 on Automobile Accidents - Virginia
More details to this question:
I was involved in a car crash in which the other driver is at fault. However their insurance company is denying rental car payment. This was a multi car accident. That driver has only $25000 limit in his coverage. But I am affected as I was not the faulty driver. Do I have any rights here? Please let me know. Thank you.

If the at fault driver does not have enough liability insurance coverage to compensate everyone in this multi car accident, you might be entitled to coverage under your personal auto policy using the underinsured motorist coverage.  Good luck with this matter.
