QUESTION

What should I do

Asked on Jun 08th, 2021 on Personal Injury - Ohio
More details to this question:
I slipped and fell on human feces at the walmart store located in calcutta ohio on 6/6/21 at the beginning of the self checkout isle After i slipped and fell hurting my hip, back, and shoulder the manager and other employees come to me and were very apologetic stating to me that an elderly man deficated on the floor earlier and the area should have been cleaned. There were no markings or signs to mark the area nor did they close the area.. they permitted people to check out as I laid on the floor until they finally closed it off. One employee (not sure if it was the manager or not), had me fill out an incident report. There were several witnesses who would not leave my side that give statements on the i pad as well (I did not get there names as I was hurting) but they could not believe that the mess on the floor was not cleaned up or that the area was not marked or blocked off. I requested that info from walmart and they would not give it to me

In short, you should hire an attorney ASAP.  You need to serve legal documents to obtain the video footage and other evidence related to the incident.  Probably get witness statements and more.  You should also seek medical care for your injuries.  Not all doctors want to get involved with a lawsuit, so you may need to see someone other than your normal primary care physician.  An attorney can assist you will all this.  Time is not on your side, get legal counsel.  Most will take the case on a contingency fee.  That means you pay nothing unless they win your case. Keep in mind that attorneys on this forum cannot respond saying, "yes I can help call me."  You need to be the one to initiate direct contact with the lawyer.  Best of luck.
