Wife died from renal cancer that was diagnosed as a hernia. Doctors at cancer hospital looked at MRI and other tests performed by local hospitals and said that they found evidence that she was misdiagnosed for about fourteen months and was to late to help her. She died within a month as there was nothing they could do to save her.. was in extreme pain as it was growing around her intestine's and caused her colon to blow up like a balloon and retain 15 lbs of fluid that Fox Chase cancer hospital removed to relieve some pain but could do no more for her. They were great but local hospitals just didn't seem to care. Also had breast cancer first that the treatment was cut short because the doctor was afraid that the treatment was harming her but was because of a new seizure med she was put on that put her in Community hospital for 3 weeks that she didn't remember. Doctors at Fox Chase recommend I sue these other doctors and hospitals.
I do think you should consider speaking to a malpractice attorney. If the doctor you spoke to a Fox Chase said that she was clearly misdiagnosed, and the other doctors did not spot the cancer, then there might have been malpractice. The only problem is whether or not a doctor at Community was the right doctor, and if that doctor referred you for other tests. Unless I'm wrong I don't think of Community as a "cancer" hospital. If you call my office we can discuss this, I know a very kind and compassionate attorney that does nothing but medical malpractice and it might be good for you to at least speak to him.
Good luck.
