QUESTION

What should I try to settle for?

Asked on May 13th, 2012 on Automobile Accidents - North Carolina
More details to this question:
I was injured in an Auto accident where I was a passenger (7 months preg). We were rear ended and pushed into a car in front of us, while we were sitting at a red light. The police report clearly indicates that the car rear ending us is completely at fault. I have been treated for tailbone dislocation and hip bursitis now for almost 3 years (the accident was 2009), I am still unable to comfortably sit down (due to now chronic tailbone pain) and I''m unable to walk for long periods of time due to bursitis (I limp after only 30 min of walking). My attorney wants me to settle soon, due to statue of limitations and my need for money, but under the settlement agreement that was offered, I will walk away with $5,000 and my attorney will get $10,000 and the doctors who HAVENT helped me will get $15,000. I have lost my job due to this accident, I was making 30,00 per year at my job. I am 28 years old and I cant sit and i cant walk, I need surgery, what is a fair settlement?
