QUESTION

Will I lose my license automatically for getting too many points?

Asked on Aug 04th, 2012 on Automobile Accidents - Georgia
More details to this question:
I was in a car accident August 3, 2012. A car stopped in front very fast and I tried to stop as fast as I could but in the process I hit the car from behind. I did not have insurance. I already had 10 points on my driving record from previous tickets I have gotten over the last couple of years. I am a college student and I make good grades and I just started my job in a hospital while im in school. The reason why I didn't have car insurance because I didn't have a job for a while. I know I made a dumb decision and I want to know will my license be suspended? If my license is suspended I will have to drop out of college because I will no way of getting there and I most likely lose my job because I won't have a way to get there either. Is there any hope of me keeping my licenses? What do I need to do?

Your license can be suspended for no insurance and even if the state doesn't suspend your license, you license can be suspended if you fail to pay for the damages done to the driver and the other car. You may want to consider filing a bankruptcy case which should discharge the debt incurred by the accident.
