QUESTION

Car Repair

Asked on Mar 23rd, 2014 on Products Liability - Florida
More details to this question:
I had a car repaired needed a engine rebuild as a cost of 3600. The car had problems I paid with American express and disputed the charge. The card whet back and was repaired and then failed again. The car went back and I opened a second dispute. The car was repaired and then had problems again, on the second and this third time I got a second option in writing from a second mechanic. I filed another dispute, I told the credit card company I did not want to take the car back to the original mechanic as he was not seeming to fix the car. Now the original mechanic is telling me to bring it back for repairs. The original repair was done on Nov 17 2013. American Express has to me they have made there final jugement and I need to pay them, and as the original mechanic says he will fix under warranties I must pay and let him try again. Is this my best option and I really feel they will never get the car running right and the expense of the car being in the shop for months is adding

Credit cards are not courts to resolve disputes. Be careful as the reversed charge could cause the mechanic to exercise mechanics lien on your car. If you have bad service or poor repair, your remedy is to sue the mechanic for the money back or damage done.
