QUESTION

Question of Accountability

Asked on Jun 22nd, 2016 on Products Liability - Tennessee
More details to this question:
I had a new roof installed recently. The roofers drilled a nail in my air conditioning line set, which rendered me without air-conditioning for a week and I am a senior citizen. I had to hire an air-conditioning company to repair the leak at a cost of $998. The roofers refuse to be responsible for their workers mistake and help pay for the repair, so it has defaulted to me. Shouldn't they be accountable for their workers mishap?

Yes they should step up and do what is right by paying for the repair. Unfortunately, everybody doesn't do the right thing.
