My motorcycle was stolen las year at Los Angeles. It was recovered this week and the person who stole it is in jail. It was brand new, 3 months after I bought it new from an agency. When recovered some modifications and damages were made, but it still runs. How much can I sue for?

Whom do you wish to sue, the thief? You would have a claim for property damage against that person if you can prove they did the damage. But you may have trouble collecting a judgment against someone currently in jail.
