QUESTION

Asking a lodger to move

Asked on Feb 09th, 2022 on Landlord and Tenant Law - California
More details to this question:
I have a lodger and I asked her to move out, initially I had given her 6mths but it has become extremely uncomfortable and feels hostile so I gave her a 60day notice. At this time she has stopped paying her rent and states that she doesn't have to and that she can sue me for asking her to leave. This had been a month to month situation and again I am living in my home. Can I give her a 3day to pay or vacate?

Where is your rental unit?  Do you live in the same dwelling as the tenant?  How long have they been there? Please contact me.  I have recent experience handling these matters and am well versed with the ins-and-outs of landlord/tenant law, particularly with the Covid additions.
