QUESTION

Can an apartment manager evict you over hearsay?

Asked on Mar 28th, 2012 on Landlord and Tenant Law - Arkansas
More details to this question:
I stay in an apartment complex where the manager doesn't live. So when she comes up here the next day she goes around asking questions about the apartment. Someone lied and said that my 9 year old daughter was outside at 11pm by herself with some older tenants while they were disturbing others. One of the tenants that got wrote up for disturbing, admitted they were outside that night of questioning and told the manager that my daughter wasn't outside that it was a lie. What can I do?

If you are served with an eviction notice, find someplace to go. In the mean time plead your case to management.
