More details to this question:
So I was supposed to take over a friends apartment however I wasnt able to be put on the lease because she was so far behind on rent. She is now threatening to have me forcibly removed and I have been living here when she moved out of the residence.

If your friend has already moved out then you should apply to rent the apartment. If either your friend or the landlord are seeking your eviction, they can certainly do that since you aren't on the lease.
