Asked on Mar 23rd, 2025 on Landlord and Tenant Law - Florida
More details to this question:
I have spent the whole winter without any heat ! There are no smoke detectors either! I pay an extra $135 for Utilities, which do not include any heat at all? There is no heat source..after moving in, I found the area to be what I feel is I’m safe and very loud. I explained to the landlord I work nights he never mentioned the noise level.. It is not safe. I feel at least three times since being there male individual goes down the street yelling and fighting with himself.. I would like to break my lease without any repercussions is this possible to do?

Not on those facts. That you work at night or off hours is not the responsibility of others. Subjective "fears" and "anxieties" are not a basis to terminate a lease either. As to not having heat, that all depends on the details of what you are leasing and under what terms. There are different rules for trailers, apartments, and houses as to who is responsible for such things.
