My daughter was sexually abused by my husband when she was 5 years old. She is now 36 and is living with me and husband just to help me so I can take care of him because he is 86 and in bad health. She moved all the way from another state 2 weeks ago. My husband doesn't feel any stress with her being here but the problem is that my husband’s son from another marriage knows what his dad did to her and knows she is living here but feels that his dad is being put in a bad situation. He is saying he wants to retain a lawyer as he thinks my daughter is a threat. She is not. She has no interest in digging up the past. This is my home and my husband’s. Both of our names are on the house deed.
He would have to show that his father might in fact be injured. I doubt he could. He can not force your daughter to leave your house without his father agreeing.
