QUESTION

Escrow

Asked on Jan 13th, 2018 on Real Estate - Florida
More details to this question:
Hi, I was in the process of buying a home and towards the end roughly 13 days prior to closing I was told I would have to pay 3,875.00$ towards closing. I told them I could not afford that and had to back out of the purchase if the home. I had put 1,000 towards escrow as good faith and now the seller does not want to sign to release the money back to me. Am I supposed to get my money back?

I have to see the contract and the default provision of the contract.  The seller does not have to release the deposit if you defaulted. Let me know if I can help. Thanks. My e-mail is sgarciavidal@garciavidallaw.com.
