QUESTION

Fraud

Asked on Aug 22nd, 2014 on Real Estate - Colorado
More details to this question:
I want my money back on a land purchase in which the deed was not delivered. The seller has not responded to me emails or calls. I understand the statute of limitations is 3 years to sue for fraud. Is this correct? There is a written contract. Can I sue from California where I live and the seller's business is located? Or do I have to sue in Colorado?

Bridget, If the land is in CO you'll likely need to bring suit in CO.  Your facts are a bit confusing and I'm not certain if the transaction has been completed.  If you believe you have been defrauded you should contact an attorney to discuss the specific facts of your case so that you can determine your best course of action.     Good Luck!
