How do I make sure my son, who is my husband's stepson, becomes part owner of our house If I die before my husband?

More details to this question:
My son was never adopted by my husband. I just want to make sure if I pass first or we both pass that my husband's family doesn't claim domain over the house and take my son through expensive court battles.

you should have the deed to the house changed to include your son as a joint tenant with right of survivorship. that way, if you die, the house then goes to your son and husband, and then if your husband dies, it goes to your son.
