I have a tax lien on my name and my husband and I are thinking of selling the house.

More details to this question:
If I filed a Quit Claim Deed to remove my name from the deed, would the house then be sold without the lien applying to the sale? We did not use my credit or income to purchase the house, but my name is on the deed.

No, removing your name from title by quitclaim deed would not eliminate a recorded tax lien on the property. You're going to have to pay the tax lien off when you sell the home.
