QUESTION

I need to know if my contract still good.

Asked on May 20th, 2015 on Real Estate - Texas
More details to this question:
We signed a contract to purchase a home from an individual. We moved and our son stayed at the home and continued making the payments. He needed proof that he lived in the home so the lady that we are buying from offered to write him up something. She had him sign a tenants agreement. The lady has been a friend of family so that's how we got in to buying the home. Well our son has since moved and my mom offered to take over payments so that way someone was living in the house. What I need to know is what agreement do we go by? The lady is trying to change the price of rent and change the days it is due. But we have always went by our contract that we signed to buy the house. Since our son has moved out his agreement would be void correct? She is always trying to get an extra buck somehow but it is getting out of hand not knowing which agreement to go by. Thanks

There are quite a few things that need to be considered. First, one needs a better understanding of this contract for you to buy the home. Second, one needs a better understanding of the "tenant's agreement." It would not take long to figure out which path, if any, is the best path.
