I have recently left my ex's residence due to his paranoia and delusions. I could only take what I could fit in my car at the time. In the following 2 weeks, I text and called and he would not respond, nor would he let me get the rest of my things. Due to his paranoia, he recently shut down a police station, and was sectioned to a psychiatric hospital until his court date, which is in 2 weeks. I actually went to his first pretrial in hopes that he would allow someone to take the key but he refused. Bringing him to court for this is not an option, as who knows how long he will be detained. Aside from going in thru the window, which is illegal, how can I get my belongings?
You need to get an order from your local District Court allowing you to enter the apartment, even if you have to break the lock. This is usually done in the presence of police to ensure a peaceful event.
