QUESTION

Is my due process being violated?

Asked on Dec 22nd, 2020 on Landlord and Tenant Law - Florida
More details to this question:
You Hi I live in ocala florida which is marion county. Im currently being evicted. Approximately 2 weeks ago I had received a letter from the judge on the case stating the hearing was to be held on December 14th of 2021. This past Saturday I received a letter from the same judge stating he made his final judgment in favor of the plaintiff. I feel my due process was violated because I wasn't notified of any new hearing to speak my part on the case. What can I do?

Possibly. Most likely you defaulted and thats checkmate since December 14, came and went, its likely the notice said 2020. If there was a typo - you need to retain a lawyer to address this before the Sheriff comes to put you out.
