I paid for an application and criminal background and credit check for a lease on an Aventura, Fl condo lease. My realtor was informed that I was denied. I called the management office today to ask why I was denied. I was told, and I quote, โby law, we do not have to disclose why you were denied. The letter of denial goes to the condo owner only.โ I have no issues whatsoever with applications of any kind. I have no criminal record and my credit is in the excellent category. The two issues they screen for. Could the above information be correct and do I have a case for discrimination? Iโm outraged and do not want to just let this go. Thank you.
