Michigan truthful act with renting

Got placed in a four unit home by community action agency and they knew that another party that was moving in at the same time had bedbugs and the house ended up getting infested. Apparently CAA never disclosed with us. We were told by the ones who moved in that had them and I am highly allergic. I’ve been to the hospital and I’m being told we have to pay for it, not sure what to do and what are to protect me against a community action agency putting my health risk not only that medical bills, the payment for the termination exterminator coming in who’s technically responsible for that because we were asked when moving in prior to signing the lease, if we were coming from a place with infestation, we said no cause it did not come from a place with infestation what can I do plus the rent went up all while this is going on, but the landlord doesn’t even live in this state and I feel I cannot live in peace in my own home and everything is not being like it thoroughly. The bedbugs are a breach by the Landlord LL of the Warranty of Habitability. You can send a writing demanding release from the lease or demanding, that if they do not release you, they have to fix the problem. Should they not fix it, you can take them to court and recover any money you spend fixing the problem. You can also send a writing telling them that you will be putting next month's rent in an escrow account until they fix the problem. If you say you will do it, you better do it. Since you are allergic, ending the lease makes the most sense. Good luck
