QUESTION

Not sure where to begin

Asked on Dec 11th, 2020 on Landlord and Tenant Law - California
More details to this question:
2 yrs ago my husband and I became homeless and began squatting in a vacant home. About 6 months later the homeowner came and found us. He did not have a problem with us there as we were cleaning the place up and keeping out the neighborhood "thugs". Now 2 yrs down the road he hired a construction team who has invaded our space, literally tore down all surrounding walls and doors, making us vulnerable to elements and danger. What is any are our rights. All the neighbors do know us and like us being here also. Can he make us leave with covid law being in effect

Why dont you show the homeowner the same kindness he showed you?  Whether you are legally entitled to stay or not, the homeowner was kind enough to let you stay two years!  LEAVE and be thankful.
