More details to this question:
Was sued by tenant right before property sale. ( all frivolous allegations). Moved to CA , new residence. Showed up TWICE to NY for Deposition. Both times CANCELLED by plaintiff. Judge denies monetary cost reparations for my excursion to NYC. Now again they want me in NY for dep. what if any, are my alternatives???? ( ps . I have an "attorney").

Have your attorney move to make the deposition by video from CA. Or get an order that costs be borne by Plaintiff. I am not sure how jurisdiction was even obtained over you. Sounds like the case might not have been handled the best.
