QUESTION

Qualifications for residency on a Michigan mobile home park

Asked on Feb 22nd, 2017 on Real Estate - Michigan
More details to this question:
I am trying to purchase a mobile home that is in a mobile home park in Michigan from a private seller. The park is refusing to give me park approval even though we have no criminal history at all and have more than sufficient income to make the lot rent payment. We would purchase the home by cash and there would be no liens on the home. The home belongs to friends of ours whose father passed away and they want to sell us the home.

Do you know WHY they are refusing to let you in? Discrimination is legal except when it is for a bad reason, like race, religion, national origina, sex, and the like. However, if you have too many people, or it is a place limited to Seniors, or something like that, they are permitted to discriminate. Good Luck.
